  • How to access to your Acuity account, how to navigate yourself inside the account, and what each function is for or is relevant to your work

How to Set up Your Availability 

  • First option to manage your availability on Acuity account, to set up your regular available working hours, and to block out your personal holiday

  • Additional step to connect to your personal calendar, so your personal appointments will block out Acuity availability

Email Notifications you will Receive

  • Private lesson notification of new booking / reschedule / cancellation etc

  • Group lesson notification of PM booking, trial student booking, make up student booking

Automatic Zoom Link Created

  • For online private lessons, each booking will generate a Zoom link on your appointment email sent to both teacher and student, make sure to use that for private lessons

  • For online group class, PM will generate a link for your whole course and sent on Attendance note email and can be found on your Zoom account, make sure to use that link throughout the course, and send the link to make up students

How to Schedule Lessons for Your Students

  • Take initiatives to pre-book lessons for your students if you have set up stable lesson time

  • Make sure to use their certificate code when pre-booking lessons for your students 

How to Reschedule a Lesson

  • Students cannot reschedule within 24 hours, if they contact you to reschedule this lesson, you have two options

  • If you are willing to cancel the scheduled lesson and not charge the student, you can do so on your Acuity, remember “flexibility goes both ways”,  consider if you might ask the student to reschedule a lesson in the future

  • If this student does not offer you a good reason or a good feeling to drop the cancelled lesson fee, you can tell them “I can’t reschedule for you this time”

How to Mark “No-Show” for a Lesson

  • If a student is absent without cancelling the lesson outside 24hrs notice period, we have the right to charge him

  • It is important to make sure that you mark “no show” on the system, so that we can still charge the student and have proof that it was a “no show”

Find out a Student’s Remaining Lessons

  • If you need to know how many lessons your students have left in their package, use this method

  • Students won’t be able to use their certificate code to book lessons with you outside of its expiration date
