My colleague is a real local Beijing person. Whilst at work, he often teaches me a lot of local phrases. I think the Beijing dialect is very interesting. Today little Huang is inviting me to his house for a meal. He and his wife are going to teach me how to wrap dumplings. I really like eating Chinese dumplings but I cannot use chopsticks. Whilst eating the dumplings, I asked little Huang to please give me some cutlery. First I cut a slice of the dumpling, then hold the filling together. I first eat the dumpling filling then eat the skin. I was slowly enjoying eating. Little Huang smilingly asked me: “Is it delicious?” I smilingly said: “It is very delicious but it is important to wait and value the caviar and butter then its even more delicious.”

我的同事是一个地道的北京人。在公司里他常常教我很多地道的北京话。我觉得北京话很有意思。今天，小黄请我到他家吃饭。他和他的太太要教我包饺子。
我很喜欢吃中国的饺子，但是我不太会用筷子。吃饺子的时候，我请小黄给我刀和叉子。我先用刀把一个饺子切开，然后把馅儿和饺子皮分开。我先吃一口饺子皮，再吃一口馅儿。我慢慢地品尝着，吃得津津有味。
小黄笑着问我：“好吃吗？”
我也笑着说：“很好吃，但是要是能加上一点儿鱼子酱和黄油，那就更好吃了。”

Wǒ de tóngshì shì yīgè dìdào de běijīng rén. Zài gōngsī lǐ tā chángcháng jiào wǒ hěnduō dìdào de běijīng huà. Wǒ juédé běijīng huà hěn yǒuyìsi. Jīntiān, xiǎo huáng qǐng wǒ dào tā jiā chīfàn. Tā hé tā de tàitài yào jiào wǒ bāo jiǎozi.
Wǒ hěn xǐhuān chī zhōngguó de jiǎozi, dànshì wǒ bù tài huì yòng kuàizi. Chī jiǎozi de shíhòu, wǒ qǐng xiǎo huáng gěi wǒ dāo hé chāzi. Wǒ xiān yòng dāobà yīgè jiǎozi qiē kāi, ránhòu bǎ xiàn er hé jiǎozi pí fēnkāi. Wǒ xiān chī yīkǒu jiǎozi pí, zài chī yīkǒu xiàn er. Wǒ màn man de pǐnchángzhe, chī dé jīnjīnyǒuwèi.
Xiǎo huáng xiàozhe wèn wǒ:“Hào chī ma”
wǒ yě xiàozhe shuō:“Hěn hào chī, dànshì yàoshi néng jiā shàng yīdiǎn er yúzǐ jiàng hé huángyóu, nà jiù gèng hào chīle.”
